Post-Installation Check
Power and Connectivity
Plug the USB-C power cable into the TankMaster unit.
Confirm that the Status LED (red) is flashing to indicate normal operation.
Verify that the Bluetooth (blue) and Wi-Fi (green) LEDs indicate connection as expected (e.g., flashing or solid).
Open the RiVöt TankMaster App to confirm that the unit appears and that live data updates are being received.
Run Setup Wizard (Required)
The RiVöt TankMaster App includes a Setup Wizard that guides you through proper sensor mounting and calibration. This is the recommended method for configuring your system.
Using the Setup Wizard
-
Open the RiVöt TankMaster App.
-
Select your TankMaster device.
-
Navigate to Setup Wizard.
-
Follow the step-by-step instructions:
-
Mount each sensor in the correct position
-
Verify sensor placement using live feedback
-
Calibrate each sensor automatically
-
-
Complete the wizard and save your configuration.
Result:
The system will be fully configured with optimized sensor placement and detection thresholds.
Verify Sensor Operation
After completing the Setup Wizard:
-
Observe the red LED indicator on each sensor. The LED will illuminate when the sensor detects liquid.
-
Confirm that the app display reflects each sensor’s state (ON/OFF).
-
If needed, press each sensor gently against a filled section of the tank to verify detection.
Sensor Calibration (Advanced)
If you need to recalibrate sensors after installation, use the Sensor Calibration Wizard.
Using the Sensor Calibration Wizard
-
Open the RiVöt TankMaster App.
-
Select your TankMaster device.
-
Navigate to Settings → Sensor Calibration Wizard.
-
Follow the on-screen prompts to recalibrate individual sensors.
Manual Sensitivity Adjustment (If Needed)
Manual adjustment is rarely required and should only be used if a sensor does not respond correctly after running the Setup Wizard or Calibration Wizard.
Each contactless sensor includes a sensitivity adjustment potentiometer and a red indicator light.
Accessing the Adjustment
-
Carefully remove the sensor cover to expose the potentiometer.
Purpose
Adjust sensitivity to compensate for:
-
Tank wall thickness
-
Residue, scale, or buildup
-
Sensor placement variations
Tool Required
Small Phillips or precision screwdriver
Adjustment Procedure
-
Ensure the TankMaster is powered and sensor LEDs are visible.
-
Turn the potentiometer slightly:
Counterclockwise → decrease sensitivity (shorter detection range)
Clockwise → increase sensitivity (longer detection range)

-
After each adjustment:
-
Place the sensor against a full section of the tank
-
Confirm the red LED turns ON when fluid is present
-
Confirm it turns OFF when removed
-
-
Repeat as needed until consistent detection is achieved.
Note:
In most installations, the Setup Wizard eliminates the need for manual adjustment.
